The Clothes Scanner, the Chinese company’s newest innovation, is making its debut at the Las Vegas tech exhibition.
Shenzhen Esun 3D+ is debuting a 360-degree clothes 3D scanning system at CES 2017, as well as a a Face Scanner and Desktop Scanner.
Esun 3D+ will be presenting its 3D scanning solutions throughout the duration of the CES 2017 3D Printing Marketplace sponsored by TCT. The Clothes Scanner, the Chinese company’s newest innovation, is making its debut at the Las Vegas tech exhibition.
Esun 3D+’s scanners utilise structured lighting and a unique algorithm to ensure less human error and interference. The company believe its scanners provide unrivalled accuracy, speed and innovative solutions for the fashion, e-commerce and education industries.
The newest addition to its product range, the Clothes Scanner, utilises patented technology, two projectors and two DLSR cameras to create 3D replications of outfits and pieces of clothing. After the subject is scanned, custom computer software automatically generates a 3D model of the item within a matter of minutes. Considered a suitable tool for retailers, the three-dimensional renderings can offer customers a 360-degree view of products when shopping online.

Esun 3D+’s Face Scanner, meanwhile, allows visitors to scan their faces and create custom avatars. Utilising two DLSR cameras and two projectors, the Face Scanner fully scans and uploads an image in less than two seconds. Users can then download a mobile application to view the 3D rendering of their face, with the option of personalising their digital character by changing their clothing and hairstyle. The custom emojis are available for visitors to download and use on their social media profiles.
The Desktop Scanner, of which three versions are present at CES, capture high-quality 3D images with an accuracy rate of approximately 93%. Each scanner is equipped with an automatic rotary bed and uses two separated scanning modules, with four cameras and two projectors for optimised performance. The standard version is ideal for scanning small objects and can be used in industrial design, creative design, and in a variety of industries for precise 3D reproductions. An education solution Desktop Scanner uses software that’s easy for students to use and includes 3D scanning and printing equipment, a training textbook guide, and personal teacher training. While, the deluxe solution quickly and accurately provides detailed scans for shoes, hats and other small items, enabling customers to view 3D product renderings online.
