Italian developer of high precision machinery and laser systems, Sisma, introduced its new EVERES line of resin-based 3D printers at Formnext last week.
The EVERES ZERO and EVERES UNO are professional systems based on DLP technology aimed at the jewellery, medical, dental and industrial markets. The two machine variations offer build areas of 96 x 54 mm and 124.8 x 70.2 mm and XY resolutions of 50 and 65 microns.
The EVERES patent pending ZTT (Zero Tilting Technology) enables fast, high-quality printing. During printing, the vat is set fixed in the machine while the glass tilts after each layer has been printed, avoiding a suction effect and without causing mechanical stress layer after layer.
In addition, the use of PTFE in the bottom of the vat, an inert material in the exothermic photo-curing process, allows for a non-degenerative printing which Sisma claims grants a high dimensional precision together with a high repeatability and reliability of the process.

The alignment and zeroing of the build platform take place automatically for every print job, with the EVERES patent pending, Smart Building Platform (SBP), without the need for any manual intervention. The automatic detachment function also eliminates the risk of breaking the newly printed objects.
The resin cartridge types are also automatically recognised by Tag RFID so that the resin loading and unloading operations can be automatically managed at the start and end of every single printing process.
TCT got a closer look at the EVERES and parts on the show floor. It’s sleek, curved grey architecture makes the machine look more like a minimalistic piece of furniture rather than a midsize desktop 3D printer, and the parts on display ranging from casts for jewellery to architectural models showed impressive detail and material diversity.

Speaking with the team on the Formnext stand, Sisma says it will be releasing its own resins for each application including RESIN ONE, a matt material suitable for various markets, an ABS-like SPRITZ ABS, GREY MASTER for prototyping, GREEN CAST for casting and DENTAL MODEL, which is pretty self-explanatory. We’re told dental will be the first focus point as the company gets ready to showcase as industry-specific events, shortly followed by jewellery.
