Stratasys J700 Dental
The Stratasys J700 Dental offers high throughput with lab production rates of more than 400 clear aligner molds per day
Stratasys has unveiled the J700 Dental, the fastest PolyJet-based 3D printer for producing clear aligner moulds at IDS 2017.
The leading additive manufacturing company believes its new system will work to meet the ever-growing demand for rapid solutions in the dental industry. Driving scalable, on-demand production, the J700 addresses increased demand for fast production of 3D printed aligners as the industry integrates new digital dentistry workflows.
Debuting the J700 at the 37th International Dental Show, Stratasys cites the machine’s high throughput with lab production rates of more than 400 clear aligner moulds per day as a particular strength of its new printer. With Stratasys’ own VeroDent material, ideally suited for accelerated production, greater accuracy, and minimal post processing, the solution offers seamless digital workflows for large-volume production of patient-specific aligners in the same tray.

“The Stratasys J700 dental 3D Printer is especially designed for orthodontic labs to achieve high throughput in production of clear aligners,” said R. Scott Rader, PhD, GM of Healthcare Solutions at Stratasys. “It is custom-built to address demand for large scale capacity, effectively keeping pace with growing segment requirements. With the highest levels of throughput, Stratasys is shaping digital dentistry again.”
An easy-to-use and clean system, the Stratasys J700 Dental 3D printer is said to reduce requirements for advanced design expertise. Making the system even easier to use, is the GrabCAD Print, the software aligned with the J700. GrabCAD Print permits users to capitalise on smart default settings, tips and notifications for a more seamless 3D printing process. The software allows users to work with detailed model views alongside a tray and slice preview to handle all necessary adjustments before even going to print.
Previewed for the first time at the IDS 2017 exhibition in Cologne, the Stratasys is expected to be made available later in 2017. Stratasys are presenting the J700 technology at IDS 2017 until 25th March at Hall 3.1, Stands L048, M049, and Hall 10.2, Stand P032.
