3D Printed CubeSat made with Windform from The CRP Group.
The CRP Group will make its way to Maker Faire 2014 when it takes over New York’s Science Hall later this month.
As one of the biggest events for makers, The CRP Group take its place amongst makers and innovators as one of the first companies to bring additive manufacturing to Europe and a developer of laser sintering materials.
CRP has been working with additive manufacturing since 1996 when the company created one of the first 3D printing departments with professional printers and a material R&D department capable of transforming rapid prototyping into rapid manufacturing.
CRP is a global supplier of additive manufacturing solutions with its polyamide-based Windform materials providing the basis for projects like the 100% electric superbike, the Energica Ego.
The Italian group also includes the American firm CRP USA which operates an intensive research and development program in the areas of boating, medical devices and space.
Visitors to CRP Group’s display at Maker Faire 2014 will be able to get a first hand look at the parts created for the Energica Ego electric superbike, components for CubeSats and orthoses customised and built with the Mhox design practice. An innovative tennis racket grip from students at the University of Rimini’s Fine Art Academy will also be on show.
The event runs from 20th-21st September and more information can be found here.
