Fuel3D has made two announcements this week which signal major expansions to the the scanning solutions company's business in both the UK and US.
The developer has signed a distribution agreement with Ultimaker that will see the company’s 3D scanner available to UK customers as part of a bundle deal with the Ultimaker 2 3D printer. The bundle will offered via both companies websites and sales teams in the UK starting this October.
“We want to transform people’s ability to create original content with their 3D printers and to do that we need to work with industry leaders like Ultimaker,” said Stuart Mead, CEO, Fuel3D Technologies. “This partnership with Ultimaker in the UK is a perfect tie-in for us and we are looking forward to working with them to bring the benefits of the Fuel3D scanner to 3D printing enthusiasts across the country.”
Over in the US, Fuel 3D has struck a North American distribution deal with WYNIT Distribution to take its 3D scanning technology to strategic regions throughout the US and Canada.
With the exciting growth of the global 3D printing market, WYNIT a leading national distributor of products from brands in the consumer electronics industry, is quickly building a comprehensive portfolio of products that include the most innovative and consumer-friendly 3D technologies.
“Fuel3D is a perfect complement to our growing 3D portfolio,” said Geoffrey Lewis, president and CEO, WYNIT. “The growth in 3D printing is driving demand for new ways to generate original content and Fuel3D is well-positioned to capitalise on that opportunity.”
After a hugely successful Kickstarter campaign last year, which saw the company surpass it’s $75,000 campaign goal to reach $325,000, Fuel3D has been attracting interest from a range of businesses, resellers and distributors across the world.
