Valuechain, a British manufacturing software developer, has launched a new version of its production control software, DNAam, tailored for additive manufacturing processes.
DNAam is the seventh version of the company’s production control offering, and third new product of the year. This latest version has been designed to the specific needs of companies leveraging additive manufacturing technologies. It is said to integrate complex workflows, making it easier to plan builds, manage comprehensive inventories and conduct critical chemical analysis of powder batches and test pieces.
The software solution marks Valuechain’s first AM-specific product. Prior to market release, DNAam was successfully piloted with Airbus UK and Zenith Tecnica, an additive manufacturing specialist in Auckland, New Zealand. Zenith Tecnica has enjoyed the capabilities of additive manufacturing so much, it now uses the technology as its main operation as it produces titanium parts. A heavy investor in researching new technologies, Zenith was keen to take DNAam on, and is looking forward to leveraging it to ‘provide even greater savings’ for its customers.
Valuechain, meanwhile, has been pleased with the response from its two piloting partners. Now, they hope DNAam will go on to have a wider impact worldwide, as well as in the UK and New Zealand.
