XYZprinting has today launched the Nobel Superfine Digital Light Processing (DLP) 3D printer at JCK Las Vegas, a leading jewellery trade event.
Nobel Superfine was first announced at TCT @ CES 2017 in January. Now the platform, suitable for jewellery designers, dentists and other professionals, is set to be showcased for the duration of JCK from Booth #B59089 in the Essentials & Tech Pavilion. The company also believes the Nobel Superfine is among the most affordable solutions in its class, with a manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of $2,699 in the United States.
Developing a DLP platform, XYZprinting outlines a number of benefits of the technology compared to stereolithography. As such, the company believes its new machine offers several advantages. The entire machine comes fully assembled and enclosed, requiring no calibration and also boasts up to 25-micron layer height (Z-axis) and an easily adjustable 50 micron (X/Y axis).
“The Nobel Superfine is aimed squarely at empowering professional designers and business owners with cost effective solutions to grow their business,” said Simon Shen, CEO of XYZprinting. “Every decision made during the ideation and design phases of the Nobel Superfine was made based on the principle of balancing high quality printed products with easy maintenance over time for its users. We believe you shouldn’t have to sacrifice quality for affordability.”

Along with the Nobel Superfine, attendees at JCK will be able to see sample jewellery that works instantly with investment casting, including rings, tiaras, bracelets, and brooches. XYZprinting says because the printer delivers high quality moulds, and the wax resin works just like the lost-wax technique of casting, users of the platform can benefit from a simplified process. The company is also committed to supporting small-to-medium enterprises operating in the jewellery market, by providing unlimited email and call support, as well as a one-year limited warranty.
The Nobel Superfine will be showcased, along with other XYZprinting products, at JCK from Monday 5th June to Thursday 8th June 2017.
