ExOne's new Innovent+ to be showcased at RAPID + TCT.
Industrial additive manufacturing (AM) systems manufacturer, ExOne has announced the release of its newest machine, the Innovent+ set to be exhibited at RAPID + TCT in Fort Worth next week.
Based on ExOne's compact and budget friendly Innovent platform, the Innovent+ is designed for use in the lab for research and education, offering twice the print volume of prior models (160 x 65 x 65 mm) and increased powder handling capabilities.
The system comes equipped with a new Ultrasonic recoater designed to offer material flexibility and ease of use. Exone says the recoater is the most advanced powder disposing technology in the market, simplifying powder changeover and increasingly material flowability. The machine was first teased at the Additive Manufacturing Users Group last week where this enhanced material flexibility was likened to that of a flour sieve. This functionality will allow users to work with standard MIM materials that are otherwise difficult to process in powder-based AM systems and could be
particularly useful in markets such as energy and filtration. Each recoater comes with four screen configurations which allows for greater material compatibility and these can be quickly removed for system cleaning or powder change over.
The Innovent + also offers increased dust control with expanded dust collection options. Dust collection has been localised to pull powder from around the build box and utilises a dust particulate remover with a variable control knob that allows the user to adjust the CFM units pulled. These dust collection options are now available for both the Innovent and the Innovent+.
The machine is already available to order and visitors to RAPID + TCT on April 24th-26th will be able to see it first-hand on booth 904. To attend, register here.
