Robert Chiari at Renishaw speaks to TCT at RAPID about the latest products in the global engineering company’s range of additive manufacturing technologies.
Back at formnext powered by TCT, Renishaw announced three huge new products, the biggest of which was the RenAM 500, an industrial metal additive manufacturing system truly focused on production. Fully designed and engineered in-house for serialised production, the RenAM 500M builds complex metal components directly from CAD using metal powder fusion technology.
Building on its renowned AM250 platform, Renishaw also introduced a more flexible metal additive manufacturing solution, the AM400. The system benefits from all the advantages of the latest machine updates with larger SafeChange filter, improved control software, revised gas flow and window protection system, and a new 400 Watt optical system.
To support this complete process chain, Renishaw also unveiled Quantum, a build preparation software designed specifically for the company’s AM machines.
