We first met with ROBO 3D back at CES in 2015 where the desktop 3D printing company introduced us to its first machine and hinted at two more that were set to join in the near future.
At this year’s RAPID we finally got to see those new machines from the R2 line which includes an affordable and better connected R2 Mini machine priced at $599. There’s also a new mid-range machine which offers a bigger build space and material versatility and this will soon be followed by a third version featuring a second print head which can be adapted to feature tools like laser engraving, paste extrusion for circuit boards and a rotary head.
ROBO 3D is also introducing Print Packs which give users the tools for 3D printing projects like the drone kit you see in this video. The packs are designed to give users an answer to the question, “Why do I want to own a 3D printer?” and provide everything but the 3D printed parts that are needed to get a project off the ground.
