Sigma Labs is to unveil an updated version of its PrintRite3D quality control platform for metal additive manufacturing at RAPID + TCT in Detroit, MI.
PrintRite3D is a suite of software modules which provides inspection, feedback, data collection, and critical analysis capabilities.
Version 5.0 of the software platform offers users a host of updated features and functions. It mines and identifies thermal signatures of melt pool disturbances and discontinuities using thermal emission spectroscopy, and verifies thermal signatures in both temperature and coordinates with Co-Axial Planck Thermometry. These melt pool disturbances and thermal signatures are also analysed with Sigma Labs’ non-destructive In-Process Quality Metrics, Thermal Emission Density, and Thermal Emission Planck analysis methods.
Meanwhile, a graphical user interface provides users a real-time display of part quality results. PrintRite3D V5.0 is also platform-independent and available as a third-party add-on or retrofit package for existing machines.
Sigma Labs will have a strong presence at RAPID + TCT, ready to engage with attendees interested in learning more about PrintRite3D and believes the latest iteration of its flagship product can have a significant impact on the advancement of metal additive manufacturing.
“Companies engaged in metal additive manufacturing have traditionally been hindered by the inability to analyse the structure of a part during the manufacturing process as well as the inability to make real-time adjustments to ensure an acceptable level of quality. PrintRite Version 5.0 resolves this challenge with results comparable to complementary to CT testing,” commented John Rice, CEO of Sigma Labs. “This genuine advance provides value to OEMs and manufacturers, and is designed to increase production yield of 3D metal manufactured parts, cut post-process quality inspection costs and reduce time to market, enabling true industrialisation of metal AM.”
Sigma Labs will be located at Booth #1953 for the duration of RAPID + TCT in Detroit, MI.
