TCT Show + Personalize organiser, Rapid News Publications Ltd, has announced that the TCT Start Up Zone is set to return even bigger and better for 2016 and will shine the spotlight on the most dynamic and promising international start up companies in the 3D technologies arena.
Designed specifically for companies making their TCT Show debut, which are less than 3 years old, have fewer than 10 employees and with an annual turnover below €2M, the zone will enable as many as 16 brand new, exciting companies to present their products and services to the market for the first time.
Covering everything from machines, materials and software, this dynamic zone will include 3devo, 3D Matter, 3D Solex, 3DSTUFFSNL, Anisoprint, Bondtech AB, BotFactory, Filaments.directory, ITERATE Design + Innovation, Layered Prints, Laykanics, Mega 3D, Metal Technics 3D and ShareMy3D, all of which are vying to be the next big thing in the 3D space.
New for this year, each fledging company will have the opportunity to present a short, sharp 5-minute presentation of its product or service to an esteemed judging panel, led by 3D tech expert Todd Grimm and including TCT Head of Content James Woodcock. The TCT Start Up Award, and prizes to the value of £10,000, will be presented to the company that the panel deems to have the potential to make the greatest impact on the market in the future. Prizes will be awarded during the VIP After Show Party on September 28th.
Duncan Wood, Chief Operating Officer at the TCT Group notes: “We believe it is important to encourage and recognise industry growth and to give newly established companies the opportunity to flourish.” Wood concluded “The revamped Start Up Zone alongside the Pitch Competition and Awards does exactly this and we look forward to discovering the next big thing at TCT this year”.
