Earlier this year, a consortium of leading names in the 3D printing industry united to put forward a brand new, information-rich file format for 3D printing - 3MF. Since then the collective has grown to include partners such as 3D Systems, Materialise, Autodesk, HP, Dassault Systemes and many more hoping to bridge the gap between modern additive technologies and 'oudated' file formats.
