DyeMansion Powershot blasting system.
Munich-based 3D print colouring and coatings provider, DyeMansion is set to unveil its new Powershot blasting system, designed to deliver high-quality surface finish for laser sintered parts, at formnext powered by tct next week
At last year’s event, the company launched its DM60 staining solution, the world’s first machine for colouring laser-sintered plastics. In addition to 17 standard colours, DyeMansion offers a colour development service, covering the entire Pantone colour chart allowing users to dye their LS plastic parts in just about any colour imaginable. Now with its Powershot blasting technology, the company is offering improved matt quality surface finishes with better dirt repellence and surface feel and is said to provide a faster and more efficient alternative to common tumbling methods.
“The special blasting solution that we developed over the last two years is now ready for the market and can be used by our customers,” Felix Ewald, CEO of DyeMansion. “With that step, we underline our philosophy, which is developing in-house solutions for the production facilities of the future.”

As well as the Powershot system, Dyemansion will also be showcasing an upgrade to the DM60 machine, an additional reservoir, which will allow users to reuse black colour cartridges several times and save costs. Visitors will also get to see DyeMansion’s new antibacterial, water-repellent and ultra UV-resistance coatings.
DyeMansion will exhibit at formnext on 15-18th November at Messe Frankfurt on stand J80. Register here to attend.
