Fabbster at Euromold, Frankfurt
At face value the Fabbster looks like many of the FDM-based 3D printers on the market today. First shown to the public at the German manufacturing show Euromold in December 2011, the Fabbster differs in as much as the company behind it, Sintermask GmbH, expects them to be used for serious production.
At the Euromold event the company had a rack of Fabbsters stacked on top of each other forming a wall of little making machines. The Fabbster is on sale now through the companies global re-seller network.

Stick Deposition Moulding (Looks a lot like FDM)
Build Size: 230 mm x 230 mm x 210 mm
All axes with linear ball bearings on hardened D12 CoCr rods
belt driven by stepper motors (7μm @ micro quilting mode)
Layer thickness: 25 µm to 400 µm depending on materials
Accuracy: 0.1 mm or 0.4% of the nominal size
Materials: PLA and ABS
The company states that: "The Fabbster comes with high-end software from fabbing specialist netfabb: Engine for Fabbster. Users do not have to learn complicated process solutions. netfabb engine offers super image slice and easy-to-remove support structures. It is fast and reliable and saves material. A perfect FIT for the Fabbster. With this package you get all you need, to print out three-dimensional objects at home."
