German metal additive manufacturing leader, SLM Solutions is set to showcase a number of new solutions on its biggest booth to date at formnext powered by tct in Frankfurt.
With a new booth concept, SLM Solutions will exhibit the new SLM 800 publicly for the first time as well as improvements to its roster of selective laser melting systems. Teased last year, visitors will be able to see a live demonstration of the machine which enables integration into fully automated production processes.
Visitors can also see further improvements to the popular SLM 125 and SLM 280 machines. The SLM 280 2.0 is the fourth generation of the system and one of the most powerful machines in its class. Updates include a new, permanent filter technology, melt pool monitoring (MPM) and laser power monitoring (LPM) (now also for multi-laser operations), improved machine control software and an optional powder feeder using vacuum technology.
Visitors can expect to see enhancements to the SLM 280 2.0.
Another highlight will be Additive Designer, the company's own data processing software, which is said to enhance the performance scope for metal-based additive manufacturing.
"At formnext, SLM Solutions will again underline its reputation as a pioneer of additive manufacturing and introduce new developments with many solutions both with respect to detail as well as to a greater scope," Stefan Ritt explained, Head of Global Marketing and Communications at SLM Solutions Group AG. "We are pleased with the increasing interest in formnext and want to contribute to supporting the next generation of intelligent industrial production with our additive technology.”
