During a busy week for GE Additive, Vice President & General Manager, Mohammad Ehteshami talks exclusively to TCT Magazine about the company's grand vision for 3D printing from the formnext 2016 show floor.
He reveals the scale of their ambition over the next decade and just how much impact 3D printing has had in manufacturing.
“Our goal is to produce 10,000 machines over the next ten years for our customers around the world.”
The target of 10,000 machines is on top of the 1,000 they want to install in GE itself.
Ehteshami also discusses his personal introduction to additive manufacturing, how GE's involvement in the industry increased over the years and the acquisition of Concept Laser and Arcam. He explains, with regards to the acquisition of the two companies, the goal is to expand, develop technology and better serve their current customers and the wider industry in general.
