Hello Kitty outfits.
MakerBot has added yet another famous character to its Digital Store, a 3D printable Hello Kitty – complete with MakerBot T shirt and her very own 3D printer.
MakerBot has collaborated with Sanrio to celebrate the 40th anniversary of this iconic kitty and introduced a whole new line of Hello Kitty collectibles and accessories to the MakerBot Digital Store and PrintShop App.
The first collection of prints includes a deluxe Hello Kitty 3D printable figure complete with milk bottle and apple along with five snap on outfits starting at $3.99 per model. A ring topper pack has also been released allowing makers to create rings from the PrintShop app featuring Hello Kitty, Badtz-Maru and My Melody. Additional accessories are expected to become available on the store in November.
“We are so excited to be able to bring Sanrio’s iconic characters into the world of 3D printing and to our MakerBot community through the MakerBot Digital Store and the MakerBot PrintShop app,” noted Jenny Lawton, acting CEO of MakerBot. “This addition of Hello Kitty content to the MakerBot 3D Ecosystem helps extend the attraction of 3D printing to a whole new audience and showcases that 3D printing can be easy and accessible to everyone. We also love Sanrio’s commitment to delivering ‘big smiles in small gifts’ and look to continue the tradition with a new generation of makers.”
The collection debuted yesterday at Hello Kitty Con in Los Angeles, the world’s first official Hello Kitty convention. Hello Kitty is available to download now from the MakerBot store.
