MakerBot PrintShop Vase Maker app
Go to any design show and 3D printed vases are one of the first things you will stumble upon. Now MakerBot is giving anyone with an iPad and a Replicator 3D printer the chance to make their own.
In the latest version of MakerBot’s iPad app, MakerBot PrintShop, the new Vase Maker tool has been added to allow users to create their very own vases with just a few simple taps. This is the fourth tool in the MakerBot app which already features a Bracelet Maker, Ring Maker and Type Maker.
The new feature enables the creation of personalised plant holders, vases, chalices, bowls, containers and desk accessories in thousands of possible combinations.
"We love the simplicity and creativity of the MakerBot PrintShop Vase Maker tool," noted Jenny Lawton, acting CEO of MakerBot. "We've been working on creating easy-to-use tools for those who are interested in creating custom designs easily, and MakerBot PrintShop is a great way to jump into design without any previous experience. It is so simple that anyone can make something and then 3D print it. I personally have a growing collection - I can't wait to see what people make!"
The app has been optimised for use with MakerBot Replicator 3D printers which can print designs up to 17.5 inches tall. Integrated into the MakerBot ecosystem, the app has been designed to improve the 3D printing process and simplify the design element for all users. MakerBot PrintShop can be downloaded from the iTunes App Store now.
