Guyson International, a manufacturer of surface finishing equipment, is to release details of a new powder recovery system aimed at users additive manufacturing at this year’s TCT Show.
From Stand G59, Guyson staff will be available to explain the capabilities of the new product and how it can benefit additive manufacturers. The company believes it will save time and money, while remaining a safe technology to harness.
“Users of powder-based additive manufacturing systems are encouraged to come onto the Guyson stand to have constructive conversations about the benefits our latest robotically controlled finishing station and powder recovery system will bring to the user and discuss the time and financial savings to be made and the operational safety benefits over current manual operations,” said Mark Viner, Managing Director of Guyson’s Blast & Wash Division. “This exciting new development for the AM sector incorporates the best of Guyson’s long standing automated robotic blasting technology coupled with Guyson’s technology partner Russell Finex’s sieving and screening expertise.”
Guyson will also showcase a wider range of surface finishing stations in an exhibition that will ‘cover all aspects of additive manufacturing and rapid prototyping.’ This will include entry and mid-level manual finishing stations and complementary dust collection options, which the company believes allows the user to surface finish almost any material safely.
The Guyson Formula 1400 ‘AM’ version is the entry level finishing station, featuring a Pencil Blast unit with a micro tipped blast nozzle, enabling intricate finishing. It forms part of the Guyson Formula blast range which offers three cabinet sizes. This includes a bench-top version and is said to be ideal for smoothing our striation lines, finishing prototypes made via SLS technology, and creating keyed surfaces for painting on FDM parts.
Also on show will be the Guyson Euroblast 6 ‘AM’ finishing station, which has been designed to surface finish metal parts often used in the medical and aerospace markets. These systems were developed with the dangers of metal materials in mind. Guyson says the risk of dust exploded when blasted is mitigated thanks to full earth braiding to the cabinet, gun, dust collector and hose. This works to prevent static spark generation.
Complementing the Guyson AM blast cabinets, and also conscious of the explosive potential of some materials, the company will also present its new range of AM-specified dust collectors. The mid-range C600-AM dust collector is designed to partner the Euroblast 6SF-AM and boasts a number of features, including flexible extraction arm options and explosion relief and isolation functionalities. Depending on the specific environment, the dust collector products can be specified with fully ATEX compliant motor, controls and switchgear.
Guyson International will present its range of surface finishing technologies on Stand G59 for the duration of TCT Show.
