Photocentric to bring full range of LCD 3D printers to TCT Show.
Photopolymer and 3D printer manufacturer, Photocentric, has announced it is teaming up with 3D printer retailer, 3DGBIRE to exclusively distribute its products in the UK.
Set to exhibit at TCT Show 2017 in Birmingham later this month, the UK manufacturer is known for its industry-first, low-cost Liquid Crystal range of printers and 3D resins for both Photocentric and other DLP printers.
3DGBIRE currently distributes Ultimaker 3D printers plus a range of 3D scanning equipment in the UK and Ireland, offering training, customer support, and technical service. Photocentric says it believes the “combination of affordability, innovation, and technical support will enable the UK’s thousands of 3D printer users to get the most out of their machines and make better objects with enhanced properties at lower costs.”
At TCT Show, Photocentric will have its biggest stand yet where it will exhibit with four LCD printers, including the new, high-resolution LC Precision and the soon to be released LC Max with a 40” screen. Priced at £799, Precision is Photocentric’s fastest and highest resolution LC printer to date with a layer print speed of under 8 seconds.
“We are excited about being able to offer a full range of printers for all budgets,” Sally Tipping, Sales Director at Photocentric, told TCT. “Our focus, however, is just as much on the resins as the printers and we want people to know that we manufacture a large range for many different printers.”
Photocentric is focussing heavily on R&D and was recently awarded funding from Innovate UK as part of an £800k research project to construct Colossus, the largest vat polymerisation printer ever made with a huge 98” screen. It also has 17 chemists and engineers working specifically on 3D research and is investing further in R&D to offer the widest range of resins on the market.
