TCT Show floor
Over 10,000 professionals from 60 countries will attend TCT Show across three days.
This month, TCT Show will welcome over 250 exhibitors to Halls 3 and 3A of the NEC, Birmingham to showcase the latest technologies across the design-to-manufacturing value chain.
From 3D printing to design software and inspection, in the weeks leading up to the show, we will be bringing you a preview of the many innovations you can see across three days of exhibits and multi-stage conference programme. Here, we take a look at a number of software highlights you can expect to see on 25-27th September.
AMFG leverages artificial intelligence to automate AM (Stand J42)
AMFG, a provider of automation software for additive manufacturing (AM), will show its new software platform that uses artificial intelligence to automate AM production for the first time. AMFG's AI-powered capabilities provide manufacturers with automation for end-part production, including scheduling automation, printability analyses and post-processing.
"Our vision is for our software solution to enable autonomous additive manufacturing," explained Keyvan Karimi, CEO of AMFG. "Our software achieves this by incorporating machine learning algorithms to provide an end-to-end solution for the additive manufacturing process."
3YOURMIND software helps screen parts for 3D printing (Stand V32)
On stand V32, 3YOURMIND will exhibit its latest software platform, the 3YOURMIND AM Part Identifier, which enables companies to identify the best parts for AM, resulting in increased machines utilisation and reduced overhead costs due to streamlined single part to entire inventory analysis. 3YOURMIND's AM Part Identifier is designed to standardise idea submission for AM parts by employees to train them to recognise AM potential and provide business case recommendations to AM experts.
LINK3D's latest software to further optimise AM workflows (Stand E35)
LINK3D will announce the availability of its Link3D Production Planning System (PPS) 2.0 powered by Advanced Build Simulation and real-time machine management. Link3D PPS 2.0 is an AM scheduling solution that enhances Link3D’s Digital Factory, launched at last year's show, for application engineers and shop floor managers to efficiently run their 3D printers and provides an automated way to plan, manage and track builds from order submission to delivery. Link3D will also showcase a first-of-its-kind blockchain technology for industrial 3D printing processes.
ValueChain to deliver smart factory VR experience (Stand K26)
Smart manufacturing software provider, ValueChain returns to TCT Show for the second time this year to showcase its DNAam software. Developed in collaboration with Airbus, DNAam digitalises complex additive manufacturing production processes; streamlines delivery of key resource and plant efficiencies; and embeds robust processes to accelerate the scale-up of AM production. ValueChain will be giving visitors the opportunity to try DNAam through an immersive VR smart factory experience.
Sculpteo focus on cloud-based end-to-end 3D printing software, FabPilot (Stand P48)
3D printing service provider, Sculpteo will be focusing on its cloud-based Fabpilot Software as a Service (SaaS) which enables third parties to manage and optimise their 3D printing fleet. Developed and tested in-house over the last eight years, the software can handle everything from model preparation to tracking orders and shipping with features including file repair, automatic scheduling, a nesting tool to improve how parts are packed, and quotation generation. Fabpilot is adaptable to most professional 3D printers and compatible with more than 30 different file formats. Sculpteo says the software has overall efficiency of production by 35% within its production centre.
Polygonica to demo new features for handling scan data and point clouds (Stand R36)
Following on from last year's TCT Technology Innovation Software Award win, the Polygonica team will be returning to TCT Show to show all the latest features of its mesh processing software.
The company first showcased its new polygonal modelling capabilities at RAPID + TCT earlier this year and visitors will be able to see the latest shrink-wrapping technology and a whole new approach to the handling of scan data and point clouds.
Europac 3D to demonstrate end-to-end workflow with Siemens NX and 3D printing (Stand M26)
Along with 3D printers from HP and the latest industrial scanning solutions, Europac 3D will be bringing Siemens NX software to the show floor. Siemens will be on hand to discuss how the software helps businesses develop new products or refine existing ones. The software also has a direct interface to the HP Multi Jet Fusion 4200 production printer which streamlines and accelerates the product development process in an open, collaborative environment. To demonstrate this, Europac will be showcasing a collection of more than 50 bespoke sunglasses which have been mass customised using Siemens NX software and printed in under 12 hours using the HP machine.
Materialise to demo e-Stage for Metal software (Stand N43)
Titanium 3D printed with e-Stage for metal support.
Belgian 3D printing company, Materialise has been providing a "backbone to the 3D printing industry" for over 20 years with its advanced software solutions. Visitors to TCT Show will be able to see the latest developments including live demonstrations of its e-Stage for Metal support generation tool. Launched at formnext last year, the software features a powerful algorithm which can data preparation time for metal builds by up to 90% and finishing time by up to 50%. Visitors can also hear how Materialise' technology was leveraged by Airbus to produce end-parts for commercial aircraft during the Keynote session on 25th September.
