XJet Carmel 1400 AM system
Carlufan Group becomes first distributor of XJet's Carmel systems.
XJet has signed a distribution agreement with Carfulan Group, a supplier of leading additive manufacturing and measurement technologies to UK manufacturers, at TCT show.
Operating under the name of XJ3D, the Derbyshire-based company is the first distributor to be appointed by XJet worldwide.
“The Carfulan Group has a wealth of knowledge and experience in providing the UK market with leading additive manufacturing technologies and so they are the ideal partner for distributing our Carmel AM systems in the UK,” commented XJet CBO Dror Danai. “This is an exciting development for XJet, as appointing the first distributor worldwide marks an important step in line with our business strategy for establishing a worldwide leading channel network.”
Launched at last year’s formnext, XJet’s Carmel AM System product line, the company believes, has the potential to transform the metal and ceramic additive manufacturing industries by printing ultra-fine layers of nanoparticle “inks” or fluids for the build and support materials. The company’s patented NanoParticle Jetting (NPJ) technology stands apart from other ceramic and metal AM technologies due to the use of this unique liquid dispersion and inkjet process, as opposed to a powder-bed technology, delivering superior quality of parts in terms of detail, density and freedom of design.

The Carfulan Group has followed XJet for two years, and indeed was more than familiar with ObJet, the 3D printing firm which merged with Stratasys in 2012. It has partnered with XJet to become the first distributor of the Carmel series after XJet 'waited for the right time' - the company is now ready to talk with other resellers, but intends to deal with the biggest markets (Germany and North America, for example) directly in order to get a better sense of trends. For Carfulan, the alliance represents a significant addition to its offering, and one that can assist its customer base with the manufacture of metal and ceramics parts.
“XJet’s unique NanoParticle Jetting technology is a real game-changer in metal and ceramic additive manufacturing and as such we’re proud to be the company’s first distributor,” comments Matt Fulton, Managing Director of XJ3D / Carfulan Group. “The XJet Carmel AM system fills a real need with our customers, providing a revolutionary alternative for the production of metal and ceramic parts, enabling superfine details, smooth surfaces and high accuracy due to the unique printing process.”
