Few, if any, can dispute that 3D Printing is an exciting and growing technology area that has hit the headlines across many channels in the last 12 months. As always this increase in awareness has also resulted in a confusing array of sources providing some wildly inacurrate and misleading information, particulary for the maker and the consumer.
So where can you go to get real and reliable information? The short answer is: Personalize.
Personalize is a new brand launched recently by the publishers of the TCT portfolio of products, who are able to legitimately boast a long and distinguished history of providing audiences with the very latest and most up-to-date developments in the world of 3D printing and additive manufacturing for industrial applications. Personalize is a welcome addition to this portfolio and is fully dedicated to individual makers and consumers engaging with - or looking to engage with - 3D printing in a personal way.
Part of the TCT Live 21012 experience at the NEC in September will be an extension of www.prsnlz.me The Personalize Pavilion will bring together the 3D printing and personal manufacturing communities for two days and provide a dedicated hub for visitors to get to grips with the reality of 3D printing. With the aim of demonstrating a wide variety of entry-level 3D printers for do-it-yourself makers all in one place, as well as some of the most creative and well-informed consumer facing brands that are utilising 3D printing for their business models, the Personalize Pavilion is the place to be in September for anyone keen to cut through the hype of 3D printing.
Unsurprisingly, the organisers have already seen an unprecedented level of interest with exhibitors including BfB, A1 Technologies, Nettfabb, Fabbster and Makerbot. For entrepreneurs and consumers that want to investigate inspirational 3D printed products there will be many personalities available across the two days including Alice Taylor of Makielab, Mark Bloomfield of Electrobloom and Dan Johns of Bloodhound SSC.
Offering a community based approach, visitors to Personalize can rest assured that what they will get from their time at the event is a firm grounding in the reality of 3D printing for the maker and the consumer — from some of the most dynamic and grounded people in the industry. There will also be a host of 3D printing users, experts and commentators on the show floor who will be networking across the two days and who will be happy to share and debate the current status of the 3D printing industry.
Personalize will provide visitors with much-needed 3D printing balance together with the opportunity to assess the technology for themselves in a relaxed and open setting. To make the most of this exciting new opportunity all visitors need to do is invest their time and register for free — the organisers will even cover the costs of your parking at the NEC!
