Neomek's 3D printing halloween video
Dr Finkelstein is one of the creepiest characters from the cult hit Nightmare Before Christmas, the mad scientist and inventor of arch bad guy Oogie Boogie is wheelchair bound, has a duck shaped bill and can flip his skull open. Not the easiest of characters to reproduce for a Halloween costume but thanks to 3d scanning and 3d printing IT’S ALIVE!
Rapid prototyping bureau Neomek have made this video in which a young gentleman is transformed into a hideous Dr Finkelstein. First the young man is scanned for dimensions and using modelling software they are able to fit the bill and brain cap to the exact dimensions of the boys head.
Halloween costumes get more inventive with each passing year; you only have to take one look on Instructables to see some of the fantastical designs, but this 3D printed Dr Finkelstein is our favourite so far.
