Seacans Rainbow Reel
One of the big problems with buying filament is expense and the fact you have to buy it in bulk. Perhaps you need more of one colour than the other? You’re left with a whole load of luminous green and none of that white ABS you can paint yourself. The rolls of filament can be expensive, if you want a few variations of colours it is going to set you back a fair bit.
Seacans, a 3D printing filament shop, have the answer. For a small surplus charge ($2) you can pick ‘n’ mix your colours of filament to make one “rainbow wheel”. Pick any four colours of filament and they’ll put them on one spool, separating the colours out individually.
We expect many of the other filament companies to copy this idea as those wanting to test a few more radical colours can get a smaller sample for a reasonable price. Great idea Seacans!
