TCT Show 2014 reports record number of attendees
Rapid News Communications Group has reported the recent TCT Show + Personalize attracted almost 8,000 attendees (pending BPA audit) for its 2014 edition.
This number represents growth of almost 30% against 2013 and, in addition to increased exhibitor numbers and an expanded show floor, signals a bright future for the leading 3D printing, additive manufacturing and product development technology show.
International attendance increased for a third consecutive year with visitors from 53 countries travelling to the NEC, Birmingham, underlining the importance of the event on the world stage. The unique combination of cutting edge exhibits — with all the major manufacturers, machines and technologies assembled under one roof — and inspirational speakers ensures TCT Show remains the world’s largest event dedicated to 3D printing and related design and development technologies.
Alongside almost 200 exhibitors thought leaders and industry heavyweights from Makerbot, Adobe, Autodesk, Materialise, EOS, 3D Systems, Reebok, Zaha Hadid and BAE Systems presented to more than 2,000 conference attendees during the three days, inspiring and educating in equal measure.
The key to the continued success of TCT Show is the level of business created and executed at the event. The post-show feedback this year, as in 2013, has been unequivocally positive in this area.
Deirdre MacCormack, Chief Marketing Officer, Mcor Technologies Ltd., commented: “TCT Show has always been amazing for us. It was the first show we did six years ago and it continues to be successful, we’ve had great leads, people truly interested in buying 3D printers.”
Ian Mason, Managing Director, PrintIT 3D Ltd. confirmed, “It is a great show. We’ve been coming for ten years and it’s always been successful for us, good clientele and it is a great way to launch the 3D Systems product range for 2015.”
Duncan Wood, C.O.O and Event Director, commented: “TCT Show has continued to grow exponentially in 2014. With over fifty different 3D printing machine manufacturers exhibiting at the event it was by far the most comprehensive array of these technologies ever assembled in one place. These companies, along with 150 more exhibitors make TCT the place to exhibit and therefore the pre-eminent place to source 3D printing, additive manufacturing and product development technologies.”
“New features such as the Start Up Zone, TCT Introducing Stage and RepRap Hub combined with more than eighty companies making their debut on the show floor ensured that the show remains fresh year-after-year, even as we approach our 20th edition in 2015. The fact that new organisations and established companies find success at the event is testament to the year-round work the TCT team puts into developing the best possible experience for all involved. TCT Show is foremost a place to do business and we were delighted to expand significantly while retaining the quality of exhibitors, visitors, speakers and partners. We look forward to building on this success in 2015.”
TCT Show + Personalize 2015 takes place at the NEC, Birmingham, UK on September 30th-October 1st 2015.
